At Acadian Driveaway our employees, customers, and communities we live in and travel through have always been our top priority, and our commitment to you has only increased during this period of uncertainty. Due to the new regulations, requirements, and restrictions along with the NEW US TRAVEL ORDER, that will Acadian Driveaway Travel Covid-19 Updatebe in place as of January 26th, 2021, we do anticipate this Travel Order will delay our travel / drivers to and from US destinations.
For travel / moves within Canada, we will be required to register our drivers prior to entering certain provinces as outlined below, which are deemed the “Atlantic Bubble”.
- New Brunswick: Requires registration from the province to enter and travel through the province. Must have travel letter, BOL and flight information to prove they (drivers) there is no intent in staying in the province.
- Nova Scotia: Requires proof of essential status, travel letter, BOL and flight information to prove they are not staying. NO Government registration yet.
- Newfoundland: Requires registration from the Province to travel to, travel letter, BOL and flight information to prove no intent to stay.
- PEI: Requires travel letter, BOL and flight information to prove no intent of staying.
Based on these requirements and order, you can rest assured that we are working tirelessly every day to ensure the continuity of our services and the safety of our employees, customers, and communities.
We have implemented guidelines and protection measures to ensure the safety of our employees, customers, and communities. Self-isolation measures for employees / drivers that have been in proximity with people who may have been exposed or show symptoms or show symptoms themselves of COVID-19.
In addition, we are closely monitoring the situation and will do everything in our power to continually adapt our business processes, as necessary.
As the situation evolves so will our precautionary measures, some of which may seem inconvenient, but will be taken out of caution to keep us all safe. We will continue to communicate regularly and ask that you continue to do the same so we can continue to partner effectively with you as we get through this together.

COVID-19 Testing Required for U.S. Entry
Effective January 26, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will require all air passengers entering the United States (including U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents) to present a negative COVID-19 test, taken within three calendar days of departure, or proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days. Airlines must confirm the negative test result or proof of recent recovery for all passengers prior to boarding. Airlines must deny boarding of passengers who do not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery.
